Process-oriented group therapy offers a unique and meaningful opportunity for growth, connection, and support. It can be especially helpful for individuals who want a space to connect with others, better understand themselves, and explore relationship patterns in a supportive environment. Group therapy can be used on its own or alongside individual therapy, depending on your needs and goals.
Some of the benefits of participating in group therapy include:
Process groups focus less on structured lessons and more on meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and developing insight through relationships with others in the group.
All participants start with a 50-minute intake session. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, talk about your goals, and determine whether the group feels like a good fit. Because group dynamics are important, an intake does not automatically guarantee placement, but ensures the group is supportive and beneficial for everyone involved.
Not necessarily. Group therapy can be helpful on its own or alongside individual therapy, depending on your needs and goals.
Process groups focus on building insight and growth through real-time conversations and interactions among group members. Participants share experiences, support one another, and explore patterns in relationships, communication, and emotional expression in a safe, guided environment.
Confidentiality is essential for a safe environment. Group members are expected to respect each other’s privacy. While confidentiality is strongly encouraged, it cannot be absolutely guaranteed in a group setting. Limits to confidentiality (such as safety concerns) are discussed during the intake session.
